Can't find enough farmers to make a dent in demand, says city official. When the City of Calgary sprouted its Farm Stand program in 2017, nine market stands run by various farmers and vendors set up at LRT stations.
The idea was simple: bring food closer to people.
The program has undergone a growth spurt in the past three years. It's gone from nine food stand locations to nearly 30.
