Mali will receive $32 million in emergency assistance from the US as part of a push to prevent millions of people starving from what it says is the impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on global food security.
Mali is among 47 countries and regional organizations set to receive a total of $2.76 billion to fight hunger and poverty made worse by Russia’s “unprovoked and unjustified” invasion of Ukraine, the US Embassy in Mali said in a statement published on its website late on Wednesday.
